Dhatri Loha is a Classical Ayurvedic Property of medicine that comes in Avaleh form. Dhatri lauh is used to treat indigestion, gastritis, constipation, and other ailments. This medicine is commonly used in the North Indian Ayurvedic treatment method. Dhatri Lauh main ingredient is Amalaki.

Dhatri Lauha Ingredients

  • Dhatri (Amalaki) (Emblica Officinalis) – 384 grams
  • Yashtimadhu (Licorice) (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – 96 grams
  • Loha Bhasma (Iron Bhasma) – 192 grams
  • Giloya (Tinospora cordifolia) decoction

Method of Preparation Dhatri Lauh

Take Dhatri, Yashtimadhu, and Loha Bhasma, and grind them into a fine powder. Then, for seven days, grind the powder with Giloya decoction. Dry this mixture after that, and the resulting paste is kept in a fresh earthen pot (to dry out all the moisture). It is finally transformed into an Avaleh.

Dosage of Dhatri lauh

  • Take 1-2 250–500 mg (1-2) Avaleh before or after meals, or as directed by an Ayurvedic physician.
  • This medication should be taken before meals if you have gastritis.
