External Morphology Of Swet Chandan:

A small evergreen glabrous tree with slender drooping branches.
The bark is dark grey or nearly black or reddish. Sapwood is white and odourless.
Heartwood is yellowish-brown and strongly scented.
Leaves: Elliptic- lanceolate, sub-acute, glabrous, entire, thin, base is acute.
Flowers are brownish purple, odorous, in terminal and axillary paniculate cymes.
